The worshipping community is at the heart of the Christian faith. When we gather together for corporate worship we remind ourselves that we belong to a grand narrative of love, peace, reconciliation and justice that begins and ends with the grace of God. Through the songs we sing, and the prayers we live, we encounter what it means to be salt and light to the world. Join with us as we re-imagine the world together, and learn and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Sunday 8:15am Service

8.15 ServiceOur early morning service each Sunday is a worshipping community of all ages. We follow the lectionary each week, sing a mixture of contemporary songs and classic hymns (accompanied by an organ and a baby grand) and there is a Sunday School programme during school term for primary school children. We also have a morning tea after the service where visitors are warmly welcomed.

Sunday 6.00pm Service

6.00pm ServiceOur third service each Sunday primarily caters for youth and young adults (although all are invited to attend!). At this service we encourage our emerging preachers and leaders to grow and learn (with service themes changing from week to week), and the music reflects the hopes and dreams of a younger generation of worshippers. The first Sunday of each month also features our special youth service, CRANK.

CRANK Youth Service

CrankCrank is a special service held on the first Sunday of each month, where the youth of Ipswich can come together to praise and worship God, turn up the volume, and have heaps of fun! Crank features great speakers, video production, games and activities, (smoke machines?), a catered coffee shop, and an awesome time in the presence of God. This service is designed for young people by young people. If you are of high school or university age, come along and join in the celebration with the very best of modern Praise and Worship music. (Older ages are also encouraged to come along - but you may need to bring your ear-plugs!) With band members writing their own material, there are songs to be heard here that are unique to Glebe Road UC.
